Norman Reid is Parkdale’s new Property Custodian, succeeding Khan Chao who retired at the end of 2016. Norman officially assumed his new duties on Sunday, September 11, 2016. Since immigrating to Canada from his native Jamaica in February 1991, Norman has been employed with a number of local companies engaged in janitorial and building maintenance services in the National Capital area. He also has five years of experience in the food industry as a restaurant cook.
Norman has a daughter Shandice (7) and son Tyreeke (9), who live at home in Ottawa with him and his wife Sheryl Jones-Reid. He also has two children Tryreese Reid (13) and Sherise Reid (18), with his first wife Evva, who is deceased. Norman says he is looking forward to the challenge of a new job and taking on new responsibilities, and getting to know members of the Parkdale family. “I have heard many good things about this church, and how welcoming the members are,” he says.
